F. “KLIN” ROTHENBERGER IV is a registered U.S. patent attorney whose practice focuses on electrical engineering-related patent preparation and prosecution. Klin has experience drafting a broad range of electrical arts including gigabyte passive optical networks, radio frequency, GPS, augmented reality, and computer vision devices, as well as various software applications and machine learning inventions. Klin became a registered USPTO patent agent in 2020 and later a registered patent attorney in 2022. He also clerked with Barta, Jones & Foley, PLLC in the summer of 2020.
Prior to joining the firm, Klin worked as an intellectual property (IP) associate for an IP law firm gaining experience not only in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, but also in IP litigation, patent searches, and transactional agreements. He had the opportunity to work with a small team on a claim construction case that won an appeal to the Federal Circuit. Klin has also won a Unified Patents PATROLL contest for his claim chart submission demonstrating patent invalidity.
Klin has a background in electrical engineering and is a technologist at heart. In his free time, he enjoys building computers, spending time with his family, playing board games, and volunteering at his brother’s church.
