Sarah Foley is a registered U.S. patent attorney experienced in advising and counseling clients in all areas of intellectual property (IP) law for a variety of organizations and industries. Her practice focuses on developing and managing patent portfolios, IP portfolio acquisitions, product launches, and brand development and protection, for clients at the startup phase to Fortune 500 corporations. This includes providing patentability, freedom to operate, and patent landscape analyses, preparing and filing patent applications worldwide, worldwide prosecution of patent applications, and more.
Ms. Foley’s experience includes an array of technology involving software, hardware, networking, telecommunications, and computer systems. She has partnered with clients to protect innovation in areas such as mobile device software and hardware, IoT and connected systems, image processing, natural language processing, network architecture, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence and computer learning, aerospace and aeronautics, robotics and autonomous vehicle systems, machinery, automotive and mechanical technologies.
Between undergraduate and law school, Ms. Foley worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for a Texas Congressman. In Dallas, during her law school tenure, Ms. Foley gained a variety of experience as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable John Peyton, County Court No. 2; as a Law Clerk at the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division; and as a Legal Intern with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
